Grilled Chicken Bacon Club

If you like chicken bacon club sandwiches, your gonna love this recipe! The taste of grilled chicken & smokey bacon, combined with the sharpness of cheddar, the snap of red onion, the tang of zesty Chick-Fil-A sauce, and finished off with the crisp of green leaf lettuce and juiciness of the tomato will have you coming back for seconds!


Here’s what you need:

Bo B Q Chicken Rub

Olive Oil

2 Chicken Breasts

6 slices of Bacon (cooked, preferably grilled or smoked!) and cut in half

4 Slices Mild to Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Chick Fil A Sauce

4 Red onion slices

4 Tomato slices

4 Leafs of Green Leaf Lettuce

4 Brioche Buns (toasted on grill)


  1. Let’s start by placing one chicken breast in a ziplock bag. Using a meat tenderizer or even a heavy pan, pound the breast until the thickness is uniform and about a 1/4 inch thick. Remove and repeat with the remaining breast.

  2. Now that these breasts are too large for a sandwich, let’s cut these breasts in half.

  3. Next we want to oil both sides of the breasts and season with Bo B Q Chicken Rub. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes.

  4. While the chicken is relaxing, let’s preheat the grill for med-high heat and slice up the onion & tomato.

  5. Grill chicken 5 minutes, flip and cook an additional 4-5 minutes topping with cheese the last two minutes.

  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and toast buns until golden brown.

  7. To dress this beautiful bird, let’s start with a little Chick-Fil-A sauce on the lower bun, followed by a tomato slice, lettuce, chicken breast, 3 slices slices of bacon, red onion slice, more sauce, than the top bun and your done!

  8. Serve with sweet potato fries, coleslaw, potato salad or keep it simple with your favorite bag of chips!
