Hotdog Burnt Ends

Did he just say what I think he said?!

Yes. Yes, I did!

This is the cheapest, most delicious barbecue you can make in under 2 hours! Seriously, don’t knock ‘em til you try ‘em! Here’s what you need:

12-16 Beef Frank hot dogs

1/4 cup Mustard

2-3 Tbsp Bo B Q Memphis Rub

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2cup BBQ Sauce

4Tbsp Unsalted Butter

Directions:

Let’s start by preheating your smoker to 225F.

Next, coat the hot dogs with yellow mustard and then season with generous amount of Bo B Q Memphis Rub. **The mustard is a help bind the seasoning to the dogs, you won’t taste it when the cook is complete!**

Now let’s head out to the smoker! Throw those dogs directly on the grates and smoke for 1 hour. Remember, if you’re lookin’ you ain’t cookin’!

After our hour of smoke, we want to remove the hotdogs, and crank the smoker up to 400F. Yes, I meant 400F.

Now cut the dogs into thirds, and place them into a disposable baking pan.

Next, we want add just enough bbq sauce and brown sugar to coat (not submerge) the “ends”. Stir to coat evenly and then top with butter.

Let’s head back out to the smoker and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Butter should be melted, sugar caramelized and the ends should be mahogany in color. Remove and enjoy the most delicious yet cheapest bbq on the block!
